Cost - Parking permit is $5, individual permits are $3. Individual permits are for people entering by foot, bicycle or equestrian. Individuals 15 years old and younger are admitted for free. Entrance fees are waived on August 25 (National Park Service Birthday), September 26 (National Public Lands Day) and November 11 (Veteran's Day).

Hours - Park hours are 7 am until dark, every day. The visitor's center is open from 10am-4pm daily.

-Three Great Falls outlooks, which are located between a 2-10 minute walk from the Visitor Center.
-163 different species of birds in park
-Many people use kayaks and canoes to navigate this section of the Potomac river.
-There are climbing sites within the park, ranging from 25-75 feet.
-Great Falls boasts 15 miles of hiking trail, 5 of which can be used for biking and horseback riding.
